Major Community Programs in Active Operation
Explore how our weekly, monthly, and seasonal programs are structured to serve diverse segments of our local community.
Every program maintained by AICA DES 4 PLATEAUX is designed around three strict public service requirements: zero commercial charges for participation, full accompaniment by experienced volunteer leaders, and explicit authorization from local municipal authorities. We coordinate closely with the Mairie of Les Pujols, the Mairie of Coussa, and departmental sports federations to deliver structured athletic activities tailored to all life stages.
"Plateaux En Marche" — Guided Gentle Walking
Target Audience: Retirees, seniors, sedentary adults, and individuals recovering from illness seeking moderate, supervised physical activity.
Locations: Gentle loop circuits (4 to 7 km) starting alternately from Mairie des Pujols, Place de Coussa, and Salle des Fêtes de Saint-Amadou.
Public Partners: Local general practitioners, municipal social welfare delegates, and Ariège departmental public health committees.
"Sentiers Jeunesse" — Rural Orienteering & Nature Athletics
Target Audience: Children and teenagers aged 8 to 17 residing in rural cantons of Pamiers and Basse-Ariège.
Locations: Designated municipal woodland parcels, communal open spaces, and topographic heritage checkpoints across the 4 Plateaux.
Public Partners: Inter-communal primary school networks, rural youth recreation associations, and local civil protection volunteers.
"Brigade Verte" — Trail Clearing & Environmental Workdays
Target Audience: Community adult volunteers willing to engage in manual outdoor land maintenance and ecological cleanup.
Locations: Public rights-of-way, overgrown communal footpaths, historic stone boundary walls, and forest fire access routes (DFCI).
Public Partners: Communal technical services, National Forestry Office (ONF) regional advisors, and local agricultural syndicates.
Seasonal "Rallye des 4 Plateaux" Public Sports Days
Target Audience: Multi-generational family teams, local sporting enthusiasts, and community newcomers of all athletic aptitudes.
Locations: Central village square of Les Pujols connecting through rural pathways across Saint-Amadou and Coussa.

Impact Evaluation Metrics & Public Accountability Audit
Rigorous verification of field accomplishments presented annually to municipal authorities.
To guarantee that our programs consistently meet the highest standards of public interest execution, AICA DES 4 PLATEAUX maintains an annual accountability ledger submitted to participating municipal mairies and the Departmental Directorate of Social Cohesion and Population Protection (DDCSPP Ariège).
Key metrics recorded over the preceding twelve-month reporting period include:
- 94 Guided Community Outings: Executed with zero reported emergency medical evacuations or lost persons.
- 1,120 Cumulated Participant attendances: Representing citizens aged 8 to 82 residing across eight rural communes.
- 48 Kilometers of Rural Ways Cleared: Restored to full walkability without chemical herbicides or mechanical harm to native vegetation.
- 14 Inter-Communal Coordination Briefings: Conducted with local elected municipal officials and communal forest wardens.
Safety Protocols, Equipment Guidelines & Code of Conduct
